This past weekend, we headed down to the St. Cloud area to spend some time with the family. We had not been back there since early January, and it was really nice to see everyone.
We left late Friday, after we had fed Wyatt some "Pitha" (Pizza for those of you not familiar with Wyatt lingo quite yet), and giving him a bath. We had decided to do it this way, so Wyatt would be close to his bedtime when he hit the car, and would maybe sleep for the ride. He was asleep before we got out of town. Friday night we arrived at Papa and Nana Kaproths, Wyatt spent some time showing them all the things he had learned, and went to be about an hour after arriving.
Saturday morning, Jean and Nana Jan were off to Tracys baby shower. Wyatt got to hang out with Papa Joe and daddy for awhile, including a trip to the local watering hole (Goodfellas Bar and Grill) for some lunch. After lunch, Wyatt and I went and visited Great Grandma Dolores. He always loves having an audience!!
Saturday afternoon, Papa Joe rode over to Cold Spring with Wyatt and I for some dinner at the Franks. Wyatt got to see most of the uncle and aunts, and all of his cousins on the Frank side. He ran and played with Keagan all night. On the way back to Foley, he crashed hard.
Sunday morning, we were invited to have breakfast with the Chapmans. It was really good to see them again. We sat and talked, as Wyatt tried to show Evan how it was all done. After a bit of time, Evan reminded Wyatt how nice it is to sit back, and watch the world pass you by......
As you can see, Evan is quite the ham, especially when the camera comes out!
After breakfast, it was back to Foley to load up the car, have some lunch, and watch a bit of NASCAR before heading back north. Wyatt slept in the car, and was good for the time he was awake. It is so nice knowing your child can handle the lifestyle you live!
Today at daycare, they celebrated Mardi-Gras. Wyatt got to make a mask, and pick out the colors. Surprisingly to both Jean and I, when he was asked what colors, he said "Yellow" and "Red". We were surprised by this, because no matter what color we ask Wyatt to name, his first answer is always "Purple".
