The smiles are returning.....

Since last Sunday, we have seen a different side of Wyatt.  As the week went on, his nights of sleeping through the night were becoming non-existent again, and he just did not seem to be his chipper self.  On Wednesday, his eyes started to look "goopy" and we were concerned for his health.  As I woke him up on Thursday, his eyes matted shut, and his breathing sounding very labored, I mentioned to Jean that maybe we should bring him in.  She talked to his doctor, who by the way is the BEST DOCTOR EVER!, and she fit him into her already booked schedule to check on his well-being.  When I arrived at the daycare to pick him up, a sign was hung on the door, notifying parents that "There is three cases of Croup, and one confirmed case of Bacterial Pneumonia in the infant room".  GREAT!  As Dr. Schaefer first laid eyes on Wyatt, she mentions  that this is not the Wyatt she remembers.  She looked him over, and said she wanted to put him on Prednisone, Azithromycin, and a nebulizer.  She said he was headed down the road of the Pneumonia, but not quite there yet.  We got home Thursday and got Wyatt started on the solution!!  He is not a big fan of the medicine via syringes, but is getting better with them.  The nebulizer went well the first time, he got fussy about it after that, and lately, holds it in front of his mouth himself!  He seems to be much better after a Friday at home with dad, and Monday home with mom just to make sure he gets well!! Thank you for all the concern, prayers, and well wishes.  Wyatt smiles whenever he gets to talk to his distant family on the phone to hear their support (followed shortly after with him attempting to eat the phone).
